However, you acknowledge that no online system can be guaranteed to be entirely secure, and you accept this risk when using telehealth services or third-party platforms.

4. Use of Your Personal Information

4.1. Axis Dietetics may use your personal information to:

  • Provide nutrition and dietetics services, including men’s fertility and reproductive health support

  • Communicate with you about appointments, treatment plans, and reports

  • Share information with other health professionals involved in your care, where you have consented

  • Send newsletters, updates, or marketing material (only where you have opted in)

  • Improve our services through practice research, quality assurance, and service development

  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

4.2. Axis Dietetics may contact you via phone, email, SMS, or mail.

5. Disclosure of Your Personal Information

  • Health professionals involved in your care, with your consent

  • Administrative staff or contractors engaged to assist us in delivering our services

  • Our insurers, professional advisers, or legal representatives as needed

5.2. We may be legally required to disclose personal information in circumstances such as:

  • To prevent a serious threat to life, health, or safety

5.3. Axis Dietetics may store or process personal information using services located outside Australia, such as Practice Better in Canada and Cronometer in Canada or the United States. We will take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas providers comply with Australian privacy laws or equivalent protections.

5.4. In the event of a business transfer or change of ownership, your information may be transferred to the new owner, provided they agree to safeguard your information in accordance with this policy.

7.1. Axis Dietetics retains client health records for a minimum of seven (7) years from the date of your last consultation, or until you reach the age of 25 if you were under 18 at the time of the consultation, in line with legal requirements.

7.2. After the required period, your records may be securely deleted or destroyed.

8. Access to and Correction of Your Personal Information

8.1. You have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you. Axis Dietetics will provide this within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal requirements, and may charge a $50 administrative fee for processing your request.

8.2. You may request that we correct any personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading.

8.4. We may refuse access in certain circumstances permitted by law, such as where giving access would pose a serious threat to health or safety, or where it would breach another person’s privacy.
